Life groups are the heart of the ministry at Eastern Heights Church. Since the 1990's, Eastern Heights Church has pastored its members through life groups.

VISION: Life Groups exist at Eastern Heights Church to connect people to God and to one another resulting in authentic community, spiritual growth, and the gospel being relevantly shared in our community.

What is a Life Group?

A life group normally consists of 5-15 people and are focused on building one's relationship with God, others, and the community around us. Life Groups typically include worship, Bible study, prayer, and evangelical outreaches into the community. Members are encouraged to bring lost friends and relatives with them to the meetings. Life groups are led by a mature and trained Eastern Heights believer.

 

Were there Life Groups in the Bible?

The book of Acts records the tremendous growth of the church in Jerusalem. Small group meetings in homes were the foundation of the early church. Acts 2:46 says, "So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house. . . "

So we see the early church meeting in the temple for large corporate gatherings and house to house in small groups. Small groups were vital to the church's growth then, and they are just as vital now. You will never fully experience all that Eastern Heights has to offer until you get connected with a Life Group!
