WELLSPRING FOR WOMEN - Ed and Valeta Bush established this ministry in 1984 after working closely with Mac Gober of Canaan Land Ministries. It is located in Marbury, Alabama and was established to be an alternative to juvenile detention, jail, alcohol, drugs, physical and mental abuse, and sexual promiscuity for young women on whom society has given up. Their goal is to establish these young women in biblical principles on which they can change, motivate, and redirect their lives. It is free of charge and fully funded by love offerings from individuals, churches, and other organizations. It is an intensive twelve month program set apart unto the Lord teaching each woman to pray, study the Bible, and learn to be led by the Holy Spirit. There are currently three homes with more expected in the future. Each home has up to six women with a resident counselor and house parent.
